Burness Speakman born October 17, 1945 and daughter of a
retired Marine First Sgt. who was incharge of the very last brigade of
the mounted horse marines that went to battle with their horses.
Burness's father served in the South pacific during WWII with the First
Marine Division and was in the second wave of Iwo Jima, the Korean
conflict on the 38 paralles, the Bay of Pigs incuba, and Viet
Nam. Still active and alive and closing in on 90 years of age. He
only plays 9 holes of golf a week as 18 get him a little tuckered
out.
Burness traveled extensively as a child until the age of 17
when the family moved to southern California. At the age of 28
she
entered the Major motion picture industry in the San Fernando valley at
Universal sStudios as a film librarian, and sound editor, and various
post production companies in that area. She edited on films such
as Harry and the Hendersons, Robo Cop, Cocktail, Tremors, and
supervised such televion shows as the Alfred Hitchcock show. You may

At the age of 6 Burness sculpted her first
sculpture, a seated dog, which her mother still has to this day.
She learned how to make ceramic molds, throw pottery, oil paint,
skydive, make silver jewelry, do lapidary, crochet, knit, studied
traditional chinese medicine, herbology, gourmet cooking, worked with
simple wood furniture, raised the prized Peruvian Paso horses and
paraded with them, showed dogs, had goats, pigs, sheep, and cattle.
At the age of 30 she learned to spin yarn and has combined
all her knowledge into a way of life and style. You will find an
